Admission to SCS

Thank you for your interest in Saskatoon Christian School.

We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Our application process involves completing and submitting the application package documents and attending the family interview with one of our administrators. Once these steps have been successfully completed and your application has been approved, you will be notified that your child(ren) has been placed on our Registration Waitlist.

Our administrators’ top priority is to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed academically. Each year, our administrators diligently work to establish optimal class sizes and resource allocation, aiming for the greatest success in each classroom. These decisions are made the week following our current family (student) registration which concludes in May.

In order for your child’s application to be considered for the upcoming school year, your child will need to be successfully placed on our Registration Waitlist. We encourage all new families to start the application process early to ensure their child is on the registration waitlist prior to Wednesday, May 1, 2024.   Please note there is a non-refundable $200 fee per family required to complete your application.

Students are admitted to SCS based on the completion and review of family applications, academic records, student references, and admissions interviews.

All applications for admission will be considered from:

  • Families which include at least one parent/guardian who confesses the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, can sign that they agree with the SCS Statement of Faith and Parent Commitment (John 3:3, I Peter 1:23), and who are in alignment with the SCS Vision, Mission and Values.

  • Families who are active participants in a local Bible-believing, Christ-confessing church in which the Bible is believed and taught. (Hebrews 10:25)

  • Parents who understand, and agree with, the purpose of SCS , which is to provide children with a Christ-centred education in which Jesus Christ is acknowledged in every area; where the basis for instruction is the Bible, the Word of God.

  • Parents who are committed to support the work of SCS through prayer, volunteer labour, and financial contributions.

  • Students who are not under suspension/expulsion from another school; if so, evidence of satisfactory behaviour must be demonstrated prior to application to SCS.

Please feel free to contact our Admissions Team should you have any questions about the application process.

  • To plan for each year, SCS must know in advance every potential or probable need for intensive supports.  Failure to accurately inform SCS about the level of support required may result in our inability to meet students' needs and affect admission eligibility in the future.
